This piece is dedicated to two Indonesian art masters, Gunawan Maryanto, who died in 2021, one of Indonesia’s most prominent poets, with whom Morinaga worked on several projects, and Bambang Mbesur, a vocal artist who died in 2020.<\/p>\n
The texts were created for the sonic theater project \u201cGong ex Machina\u201d, by Yasuhiro Morinaga and Yudi Ahmad Tajudin.<\/p>\n

The vibration of the sound harbors the memories of a far and lengthy travel

\nReverberating time<\/p>\n

\nin the beginning was sound. A bang: be!
\nAnd then, vibration, a long hum that creates a wave
\nCreating space, and also: time
\nAnd then nebula, partly clumping up, hardening,
\nbecoming planet.
\nAdd infinite numbers of planets,
\nadd trillions of galaxies.
\nAnd among them all a little dot,
\nso little it is insignificant: Earth: Us<\/p>\n
In the beginning was sound
\nA bang and a long hum that create everything within
\nseven days<\/p>\n
